Break Bulk Cargo Solutions
Specialised planning and handling for heavy, oversized and non-containerised cargo.
Overview
Break Bulk
Some cargo does not fit in a standard container: heavy machinery, project equipment, steel structures and other oversized pieces.
Break bulk shipments are planned around the cargo itself. Its dimensions, weight and lifting points decide the equipment, handling and stowage.
What we coordinate
- Reviewing cargo dimensions, weights and lifting points
- Arranging suitable handling and lifting equipment
- Coordinating port handling and vessel loading
- Inland transport for oversized pieces

Key considerations
Lifting and handling
Lifting points, slings and cranes must suit each piece’s weight and centre of gravity.
Lashing and securing
Pieces are secured individually for the sea voyage and road legs.
Route constraints
Bridges, road widths and port limits can restrict oversized movements.
Permits
Oversized or overweight road movements may need permits and escorts.
